Military/workplace position or job assignment term

A job you hold among a group. Frequently a military term, used in place of "job", or "position". Often comes with some responsibility or authority.

For example: Gate guard PVT Schmuckateli refuses to let Sgt Major Johnson into the base without showing proper ID. "Billet over rank"
