Directional term tradspeople use for angled turns

term used in giving driving directions. we were driving to a friend's house in rural, northern Minnesota and we asked a local man for directions - part of his instructions were : "Go left on Olson Rd. - drive straight for about a mile - then hang a dog leg and you're practically there."
