Legitimate advertising/construction industry term for large billboards

In India, hoarding also refers to an advertising billboard. Given the big size of the billboard and because it "hoards" the attention of the audience, it is called a HOARDING. Hoardings are found in cities, on tall buildings, roadsides etc. They are the most effective way of outdoor branding and advertising. Given the size of a hoarding it is easily noticeable and leaves a lasting impression on the mind of the viewer.
