A container which stores hydraulic power for release, in the form of a pressurized fluid (often suspended within a larger tank of fluid under pressure).
Why this one
A battery for pressure. It stays charged after the machine is switched off, which is why hydraulic isolation treats it as a separate step.
In use
Don't crack that line yet, the accumulator's still holding pressure even with the pump locked off.
