Slog

Running/endurance term; genuine trade/athletic vocabulary

A combination of the words job and slow, the term for a run or portion of a run when your pace slows to that of a quick walk usually due to exhaustion, a loss of motivation, or physical distress. By the end of the marathon, I was reduced to slogging through the last mile because I was so tired.
