Sham Shui Po station, coded SSP, is a major interchange on the Hong Kong MTR network serving the Kowloon district. It sits on both the Kwun Tong Line and the Tsuen Wan Line, making it a critical transfer point for passengers moving between these two corridors. The station opened in 1979 as part of the original Tsuen Wan Line and received its second line connection when the Kwun Tong Line extended through in 1982.
