broke
nounPaper and pulp
Paper or board that is discarded and repulped during the manufacturing process.
Why this one
Mill scrap has its own name because it has its own plumbing: broke chests, pulpers and a metered feed back into the furnish. It is not the same as bought-in recycled fibre, which arrives baled and dirty.
In use
Reel came off with a wet streak the whole way through, so it all went to the pulper as broke.
