Licence and attribution

Most definitions and source metadata here are adaptations of English Wiktionary content, distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International licence.

For Wiktionary-derived entries, copyright belongs to the individual contributors. Revision histories and contributor attribution are reachable through the source link on each such entry.

Not every entry comes from the same place. Material we have written, revised or compiled ourselves is credited to Industrial Dictionary, and further sources are being added, each credited where it appears.

If you redistribute or adapt this

  1. Credit Wiktionary contributors and identify Kaikki.org and Wiktextract as the extraction path.
  2. Credit industrialdictionary.com as the compiler, and link to the entry you took, since the selection, editing and articles are ours.
  3. Preserve a link to the relevant source page, or another reasonable means of reaching its contributor history.
  4. Mark material changes.
  5. Distribute adapted glossary text under CC BY-SA 4.0 or a compatible licence.

Suggested attribution

Compiled by industrialdictionary.com. Most definitions are adapted from Wiktionary contributors via Kaikki.org and Wiktextract; each entry links to its source page. Fun terms are quoted from Urban Dictionary and credited to their authors.

This page summarises the intended reuse terms. The linked licence text controls. The site design, editorial features and original writing on this site are not covered by that licence.
