Warum dieses Wort
Named for the way a whole block gets erased at once, like a camera flash, rather than byte by byte. That block-erase habit is why controllers wear-level and why a chip has a finite write count.
In use
Recipe's still in the flash memory, so pulling the battery won't lose it; we only lost the clock.
