Warum dieses Wort
The name is literal: the body hangs above the axles rather than riding on them. Springs and dampers do separate jobs, the spring carries the load, the damper kills the bounce, and worn dampers still leave a vehicle sitting at the right height.
In use
It sat level on the ramp but the suspension is shot at the back, you can feel it pattering over every joint in the road.
