Grog

Historischer Schiffs- und Seemannsbegriff für die Rumration.

Ein Gemisch aus Rum und Wasser, manchmal mit Limette und Zucker gesüßt. Wurde von der britischen Marine vom 17. bis zum späten 20. Jahrhundert an die Matrosen ausgegeben.

Consumption of grog was preceeded by the call to "Up Spirits".
